Bone Broth Protein Powder in a 1kg pouch gives you 50 servings of the same single ingredient as our tub: grass-fed hydrolysed bovine gelatin, unflavoured, with pasture-raised printed on the front. Each two-scoop serving (20g) holds 18g of protein at 72kcal, with no fat, carbohydrate or sugars and 0.28g of salt, and per 100g the powder is 90g protein.
With protein supplying the whole of the serving’s energy, it carries the protein claims: protein contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass and to a growth in muscle mass, and protein contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Our guide, Bone Broth Powder: Is It Collagen?, explains what bone broth protein is, how gelatin and collagen compare and how to use it in hot drinks.
Stir two scoops into 200ml to 300ml of liquid once a day, in a coffee, a soup, a stew or a shake. At £34.99 the 1kg works out at about 70p a serving, against about £1.00 in the 400g tub, which suits a first try. Keep the pouch in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, as the label asks.
