Alpha01 Organic Lion’s Mane in the 180-capsule pouch holds 90 servings of a certified organic extract of the lion’s mane mushroom, Hericium erinaceus. Two vegan capsules give 1,400mg of a 20:1 extract, which the panel counts as 28,000mg of organic lion’s mane, providing 700mg of polysaccharides. Each capsule holds 700mg of the extract in a hypromellose shell with organic brown rice flour, and the pouch front carries the EU organic leaf with the words vegan capsules.
The large figure on the front is a mushroom equivalent: divide 28,000mg by the 20:1 ratio and you have the extract in one serving. The extract is standardised to 50% polysaccharides, so half of it by weight is polysaccharides, and because no Nutrient Reference Value exists for lion’s mane, the panel gives milligrams only. Our guide, Lion’s Mane Supplement: Capsules, Powder or Drops, Which Suits You?, shows how these numbers compare with our lion’s mane powder and drops.
Take two capsules daily with water, and the 180 capsules last 90 days for £15.99, about 18p a serving. If you would like to try them first, the 90-capsule pouch holds 45 servings for £9.99. One serving a day is how the label sets it, and the pouch sits in our Daily Wellbeing range.
